Sean Rayhall/8Star return to Indy Lights for Cooper Tires Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio

Sean Rayhall en route to victory on the Indy road course in May

Pompano Beach, FL, July 30, 2015 – 8Star Motorsports and Sean Rayhall will return for the Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tire championship races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Rayhall, winner of the Indianapolis GP earlier in the season, returns to the Indy Lights Championship and the Mazda Road to Indy after missing 3 weekends of the championship.

The 20-year old from Atlanta, GA will make his comeback in the Indy Lights championship after a successful couple of races in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. Rayhall has had five starts in the 2015 Indy Lights Championship accomplishing one win, two podiums and a fastest lap. Sean and the rest of the 8Star Motorsports will be working tirelessly throughout the weekend to enjoy success at the Cooper Tires Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio Powered by Mazda.

"Very excited to be back in the Bass Egg 8Star Motorsports car at Mid Ohio. Unfortunately we had to skip a few rounds, but I want to thank Bass Egg for their support and helping me get back to Indy Lights," said Sean Rayhall. "I have been busy recently with sports car racing, but really excited to get back into the Indy Lights with Mazda and Cooper Tires."

"Really looking forward to getting back on track with Sean Rayhall in Indy Lights again with the support of Bass Egg," said Team Manager Gary Neal. "Mid Ohio is a track we have had good results in the past and we feel it will give us an opportunity to be back on the podium."

"Happy to be back on track with our Indy Lights program and especially with Sean (Rayhall) that gave us our first podiums and win at the Indy road course weekend," team owner Enzo Potolicchio added. "As a team we are really looking forward to the 2016 season as we have 2 seats to fill. After showing our pace with two different drivers, we have had interest from different drivers and sponsors. We decided to only offer a 2 car team for 2016, to concentrate on quality and not quantity, which will make us more attractive to the driver looking to win the championship."
