Jamin wins U.S. F2000 pole

Cooper Tires U.S. F2000 Powered by Mazda series championship leader Nico Jamin set a blistering lap of 1:20.886s to win pole for today's Allied Building Products GP of Mid-Ohio. The driver of the #2 Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing entry was 0.6123s quicker than Pabst Racing's Jake Eidson and 0.6452s quicker than teammate Aaron Telitz. Anthony Martin and Garth Rickards rounded out the top-five.

The green flag for the first of three U.S. F2000 races at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend is scheduled for 4:45 today. By winning pole, Jamin now has a 17-point lead in the championship over Eidson.
