Grist wins Pro Mazda pole

Juncos Racing's Garett Grist won pole for the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires Race 1 tomorrow at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Lapping the 2.258 13-turn circuit in 1:19.409s, the Canadian edged Neil Alberico by 0.1707s. Timothe Buret was third, with championship leader Santiago Urrutia and Weiron Tan rounding out the top-five.

Race 1 for the Pro Mazda series is scheduled for 1 p.m. tomorrow, with race 2 scheduled for Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m.
