Pro Mazda: Alberico wins race 2
Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing driver Neil Alberico won Pro Mazda race 2 this morning at Mid-Ohio. Taking advantage of pole sitter Garett Grist's penalty at the start of the race, Alberico shuffled to the lead, and wouldn't look back. The Los Gatos, CA native ultimately scored a 2.12s victory over Juncos Racing's Timothe Buret. Championship leader and yesterday's winner Santiago Urrutia completed the podium in third, with Victor Franzoni and Will Owen rounding out the top-five.
The Pro Mazda Championship will conclude its season next month with a doubleheader weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
