Ward family files wrongful death suit against Tony Stewart

ESPN is reporting that the family of Kevin Ward has filed a wrongful death suit against Tony Stewart. Ward, of course, passed away after being hit by sprint car Stewart was driving last August at Canandaigua Speedway in Canandaigua, NY.

After considering charges of manslaughter in the second-degree, a grand-jury cleared Stewart of criminal charges. However, the three-time NASCAR champion now appears to be facing civil charges from the Ward family.
