Would this canopy have saved Justin Wilson?

Here the FIA tests a Jet Fighter Canopy firing a 45 pound wheel at the canopy at about 150 mph. They test a windscreen and then a full canopy. The nose cone from Sage Karam's car that killed Wilson did not weigh 45 pounds – much less. But you decide based on this video if Wilson would still be with us today.
