ISC plans to "break ground on a Cobb Theatres movie complex" across the street from Daytona Int'l Speedway "by year's end," according to Clayton Park of the Daytona Beach NEWS-JOURNAL. ISC Managing Dir of Corporate Development Jeff Boerger said that if that goal is met, the 12-screen movie theater "would likely be completed within the first three months" of '17, "making it the first tenant to open at the long-awaited 181-acre One Daytona mixed-use complex." Other tenants set to open at One Daytona in '17 as part of the project's initial 70-acre phase "include a Bass Pro Shops outdoor gear store and a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel."

Also set to begin by the end of this year is "site work for the infrastructure for the project's entire initial phase." Cobb Theatres COO Jeremy Welman said that the movie complex "will include a Cobbster's Kitchen restaurant in the lobby that will include a dining area, outdoor patio and full-service bar that serves beer, wine and liquor." The Cobb Theatres complex "will be 65,000 square feet and have seating for 1,500 moviegoers."

Welman said that his company "will design the movie complex, but it's up to ISC to build it." Boerger said that ISC is "set to meet with its One Daytona hotel partner next week to firm up plans, including a name for the planned Autograph Collection hotel, and that talks are ongoing with national retail and restaurant chains, with announcements of more tenants possibly coming this fall." Park notes since taking control of the project ISC "has reduced One Daytona's first phase to just over 300,000 square feet of space, down from 450,000" Daytona Beach NEWS-JOURNAL
