SONIC Tools Joins Forces with Wayne Taylor Racing

SONIC Tools today announced a technical partnership with leading IMSA Prototype team Wayne Taylor Racing.

The multi-year agreement will see Wayne Taylor Racing and its subsidiary teams, including Prestige Performance Team, completely outfitted with SONIC Tools hand tools and storage solutions in the paddock as well as the team's race shop in Brownsburg, Indiana. SONIC Tools will also be featured on the championship-winning No. 10 Corvette Daytona Prototype.

Combining unparalleled efficiency and design, SONIC Tools intends to set the pace within the hand tool and storage system industry. With a proven track record of success in global markets and a European heritage of precision craftsmanship, the brand's competitive edge begins with the innovative Sonic Foam System (SFS). This unique series of customized trays gives technicians the fastest possible access to critical hand tools. Tools are stored in well-organized foam inlays with a labeled space for each specific tool, making it easy to rapidly identify and select the right tool for the job.

Success in endurance racing requires speed, efficiency, and having access to the right tools at the right time – making Wayne Taylor Racing an ideal partner for SONIC Tools. The team has captured 21 victories in North American sports car racing, as well as the 2013 GRAND-AM driver championship. In his driving career, team owner Wayne Taylor was a winner in the world's most prestigious endurance events – the 24 Hours of LeMans, Rolex 24 at Daytona (twice), 12 Hours of Sebring and the inaugural Petit Le Mans.

"We are very fortunate to be able to demonstrate the efficiency and design of SONIC Tools through our partnership with Wayne Taylor Racing," said Colby McConnell, Chief Marketing Officer, SONIC Tools. "Always a threat for victory, the team embodies many of the same attributes that define and differentiate SONIC Tools. We're looking forward to seeing the team prepare their Corvette Daytona Prototype with SONIC Tools."

"We are excited to bring SONIC Tools on board with Wayne Taylor Racing to join our continued efforts to win sports car races and championships, which is what this team has been all about since the day we first opened our doors," said team owner Wayne Taylor, the three-time sports car racing champion and father of Ricky and Jordan Taylor.

"SONIC has built its reputation on selling products that are of the highest quality as well as highly dependable. Moreover, the SONIC team is a very forward-thinking company when it comes to tool storage solutions which, as everyone knows, is a very critical element of a racing team's day-to-day operations both at the racetrack and in the race shop. It's all about efficiency and speed, and we are thrilled to begin our relationship with SONIC Tools."

SONIC Tools also announced today a multi-year agreement that presents SONIC Tools as the Official Hand Tool Supplier of the TUDOR United Sportscar Championship and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.
