Clint Bowyer To Drive For HScott Motorsports In 2016
Just two days after being announcing he will be taking over for Tony Stewart in 2017, Clint Bowyer announced he will join HScott Motorsports for the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
Bowyer will drive a Chevrolet with backing from long-time sponsor 5-Hour Energy in a one-year deal with HScott Motorsports before moving onto Stewart-Haas Racing to drive the no. 14 car once Stewart retires from NASCAR at the end of 2016. HScott Motorsports will also share a technical alliance with Stewart-Haas, who get their engines and chassis from Hendrick Motorsports.
HScott Motorsports currently fields two cars in the Cup Series, driven Michael Annett and Justin Allgaier. The team did not reveal if Bowyer is replacing one of the two drivers or if the team will add a third car for Bowyer.
