Chevrolet captured its second straight Prototype Engine Manufacturer title in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship today. With seven consecutive victories this season, this year's championship is the fourth for the Corvette Daytona Prototype since its debut in 2012.

Four Corvette Daytona Prototypes took the start of today's Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. The 10-hour endurance race is the final race of the 2015 TUDOR Championship. Chevrolet previously had won Prototype Engine Championships in 2012 and 2013 as part of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and last season's inaugural TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

"It is an honor for Chevrolet to win the second consecutive Prototype Engine Manufacturer title in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship," said Jim Campbell, Chevrolet U.S. Vice President, Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. "The 2015 season was a great success for the Corvette Daytona Prototype program. It is a credit to our four Corvette DP teams, our Chevrolet engineers, and our technical partners at ECR Engines and Pratt & Miller."

Each of the four Corvette Daytona Prototype teams in this year's championship won races: Action Express Racing's No. 5 Mustang Sampling Corvette DP and No. 31 Whelen Engineering/Team Fox Corvette DP; Wayne Taylor Racing's No. 10 Konica Minolta Corvette DP; and VIsitFlorida.com Racing's No. 90 Corvette Daytona Prototype.

Corvette DPs won seven consecutive races during the season including key victories at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring – a podium sweep and Chevrolet's first overall victory there in 50 years – plus a second straight victory at the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. In four seasons, the Corvette DP program has recorded 29 victories.

Chevrolet led the Engine Manufacturer standings since the Sebring win in March. Corvette DPs also have recorded 19 podium finishes, four pole positions and two fastest race laps.
