Da Costa back with Team Aguri for season two

Formula E race winner Antonio Felix da Costa will continue with Team Aguri for the 2015-2016 season.

With an outstanding CV, some of Da Costa’s career highlights prior to Formula E include victory in the blue riband Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix in 2012, plus multiple race wins in GP3 and Formula Renault 3.5 Series.

Enlisted as a Red Bull Junior driver in 2012, Da Costa went on to take part in the F1 young driver test in Abu Dhabi with Red Bull Racing having previously made his test debut in 2010 with Force India.

Alongside his commitments to Team Aguri in the inaugural season of Formula E, where he secured the squad’s maiden victory in the Buenos Aires ePrix, Da Costa also competed in the DTM touring car championship.

Antonio Felix da Costa, said: "I am really happy to continue with Team Aguri and Formula E for season two. This championship is earning its respect in the world of motorsport and I am honored to be involved. Regarding the season, I am really looking forward to getting started. The team are making big steps forward and I believe that we have the tools to fight hard and bring home some solid results. I cannot wait for Beijing. I really want to thank the team for having me. It is an indication that I did good things for them last year and so now I want to give them something back also."

Aguri Suzuki of Team Aguri, said: "I am very excited to have Antonio back for season two. He brought the team our very first win in Buenos Aires last season, and his clever driving skills are very impressive. I wasn't in Buenos Aires so I hope to get to celebrate the first win this coming season with the team. I am looking forward to the new beginnings with Antonio and all the Team Aguri members."

Season two of the FIA Formula E Championship gets underway in Beijing on Saturday, October 24, in the grounds of the Olympic Park.
