USGP: Practice 1 update

Here are the times on a semi-wet track in Austin with about 30 min left to run. Nico Rosberg is fastest and both Mercedes are 5+ KPH faster thru the speed traps than anyone else and they are not even trying yet. They simply have far more power than anyone else. Not many cars on the track given the conditions.

The only American in the field, Alexander Rossi, is some 7 sec. off the pace in the Manor slug. That's a great way to ruin your career when everyone sees timing and scoring and thinks, who is that wanker 7 full seconds off the pace? But he is beating his teammate Will Stevens. F1 will never again be popular in the USA until an American is driving a competitive car.
