Tickets for the 2016 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix go on sale TODAY at 9 am ET and fans can start their engines for the fastest weekend of the summer in the Motor City, June 3-5, 2016, by visiting www.DetroitGP.com or by calling 866-464-PRIX (7749).
Great Grand Prix ticket packages are available for the fun-filled weekend on Belle Isle that will once again feature the only doubleheader weekend on the Verizon IndyCar Series schedule – the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans. Continuing to make it easy and simple to enjoy the weekend at Belle Isle Park, the Grand Prix will once again provide free round-trip bus service to and from Belle Isle Park with every event ticket.
Fans that purchase tickets by December 18, 2015 will also be eligible win a unique opportunity to have breakfast with some of the top drivers expected to compete at the 2016 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. A total of 10 lucky ticket buyers and a guest will be selected at random to dine with the drivers on Friday morning, January 22, in downtown Detroit as part of the "Breakfast with Champions" promotion. A Grand Prix tradition in Detroit continues with Comerica Bank Free Prix Day returning to the Raceway at Belle Isle Park as all fans will be able to enter the venue and explore the paddock area for free on Friday, June 3. For the remainder of race weekend, single-day tickets can be purchased for as low as $40 for general admission and two-day general admission tickets are available for just $75. Children 12 years of age and younger are admitted for free to the general admission seating areas with a ticket-bearing adult.
Single-day reserved grandstand ticket prices for the 2016 Grand Prix start at $65 for adults and two-day tickets start at just $150 with premium seating options available as well. Fans can also purchase the 3-day Super Ticket which includes a reserved seat and access to the Fifth Third Bank paddock area for all three days of the Grand Prix for $175. Hospitality ticket packages that allow fans to see all the on-track action just a few feet from the race track are available as well. Tickets for the Autotrader Turn 8 Club include catered food and beverages, paddock access and more. Passes to the Fifth Third Bank Paddock – the "locker room" of motorsports – are also on sale so fans can get up-close access to the cars, drivers and teams competing at the Grand Prix.
For the only public parking available on Belle Isle during the Grand Prix, fans can purchase tickets to the Continental Tire Car Corral as packages include a grandstand ticket, Fifth Third Bank paddock pass and premium on-island parking. The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix will not only include two full-points races from the cars and stars of the Verizon IndyCar Series in the Chevy Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans, but also the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the high-flying trucks of the SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road presented by Traxxas. Off the track, fans can access the Meijer Fan Zone featuring displays from the Detroit area sports teams, interactive experiences within the IndyCar Fan Village, the IMSA Fan Zone and the TRAXXAS display area and extreme BMX demonstrations, along with other family-friendly activities. Local and national acts will also perform on the MotorCity Casino Hotel Entertainment Stage, with the full entertainment lineup to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
