Lewis Hamilton On F1’s High-Tech Cars, Desire To Race In NASCAR
Hamilton: "There are a lot of people on the team for two cars. We have 1,300 people to build those two cars. It's like the most high-tech (car). We could build a space rocket to send to outer space. It's crazy."
Kimmel brought up a picture of Hamilton on the awards podium after winning the Russian Grand Prix spraying Russian President Vladimir Putin with champagne.
Kimmel: "As crazy as racing is, and the high speeds you guys go, this might be the craziest thing you've ever done."
Hamilton said of NASCAR, "I love cars in general. I went to watch Jeff Gordon just recently in Miami, his last race. I never really go to race to watch, I'm always driving. I was sitting there and I was like, ‘Where's my car?'
I just wanted to get out." Hamilton said he would love to do NASCAR, but "I wish racing wasn't so restricted. I wish I could do Formula 1 and then hop over and do a couple street races."
Kimmel said, "You've got a plane, you can hop over wherever you want to" "Jimmy Kimmel Live," ABC
