• Pipo Derani has been the star of the show. Looking at the lap times, when the 22 year-old Brazilian is in the car, he is the fastest car on track.
• When Derani gets out of the car, the competition closes on the #2 Tequila Patron ESM Honda. And recently Johannes van Overbeek surrendered the lead to Angelelli. Our prediction is Derani wins the race for ESM in the final stint.
• Miller has a six lap lead in Prototype Challenge over Jose Gutierrez in the #52 entry.
• It's been a tough race for Chip Ganassi Racing. The defending overall winners currently run fifth and sixth overall. However, the #01 is three laps down while the #02 is 7 laps behind. And the team's GT entries are 33rd (#66) and 40th (#67) overall. We all know the Ganassi squad is a resilient one, but at this point it looks like they will need something to go wrong with the front-runners to have any chance of a repeat win.
• It looks like a four car race at this point for the overall win with three Corvette Prototypes (#10, #90, and #5) and the #2 ESM Honda. They are the only four cars on the lead lap.
