General Tire Goes All In With ARCA

In addition to the recent sponsorship announcement to support the ARCA Racing Series opener at Daytona Int'l Speedway, General Tire has announced several additional partnerships in support of the ARCA Racing Series.

General Tire will first serve as the entitlement sponsor of the General Tire 200 ARCA Racing Series event slated for April 29. The 2.66-mile, 33-degree banked Talladega Superspeedway has hosted ARCA since the track's initial season in 1969.

“The ARCA series has been a staple here at Talladega since the beginning of the facility in 1969 and we are thrilled to have a historical brand like General Tire join our track family," said Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch. “General Tire being a part of the biggest and baddest track on the planet with the General Tire 200 will make an immediate impact on race fans everywhere."

Pocono Raceway and General Tire have agreed to a multi-year partnership that gives the tire company naming rights for the June 3 ARCA Racing Series race. The General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 is scheduled for Friday, June 3 and will feature 80 laps on the 2.5 mile track.

“General Tire is going to be a great partner for us and we are looking forward to working with them to put on a great event for our fans," said Pocono Raceway President & CEO Brandon Igdalsky. “The Mattioli family and ARCA have a long history of working together and this is another opportunity for us to support this great series."

When the series roles into DuQuoin, Ill., on Labor Day weekend, the dirt race will be titled the General Tire Grabber 100. The Grabber line of light truck tires is a focal point at the company's tire plant located less than an hour north of the fairgrounds in Mt. Vernon, Ill.

“We are excited to partner with General Tire and bring our race fans together in Southern Illinois with such a great brand in a State Fair setting for the ARCA Racing Series," said DuQuoin State Fair Race Promoter of Track Enterprises Bob Sargent.

To cap off the year, the late September race weekend at the newly repaved Kentucky Speedway will be named the General Tire Super Weekend at Kentucky Speedway which will host the ARCA Racing Series Crosley 150 on Friday, Sept. 23 and the NASCAR XFINITY Series VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 on Saturday, Sept. 24.

General Tire is an innovative company and aggressive marketer, which makes it a perfect partner for Kentucky Speedway as we continue our success by launching our renovated track this season," said Mark Simendinger, executive VP/general manager of Kentucky Speedway.

On top of the race entitlements, General Tire will partner with Michigan Int'l Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway and Kansas Speedway to further build out the General Tire brand and offer additional events for their consumer activation.

“We are thrilled to partner with all of these great tracks in an effort to enhance the ARCA Racing Series events and to bring more awareness to our tire brand in these key markets," said General Tire's Director of Marketing, Travis Roffler.
