Helio Castroneves will run the iconic “Yellow Submarine" livery at this year’s 100th Indianapolis 500.

The Brazilian driver’s color scheme was unveiled at the public opening of the Team Penske 50th Anniversary exhibit at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum.

It is the same livery Rick Mears used to win the famous race in 1984 and 1988. The four-time Indy 500 winner was on hand to help Castroneves, who also ran the colors in 2014, uncover his livery for this year’s event.

"Last time we ran with these colors was 2014 and we finished second," Castroneves said. "I don’t want to finish second anymore.

"We want to make it happen and it’s great Shell-Pennzoil has given me the opportunity do run this car on such a special day. Not only the 100th running of the Indy 500, but in the 50th anniversary of Team Penske."

Castroneves is a three-time winner of the Indy 500, having taken victory in 2001, 2002 and – most recently – 2009. 2016 is his 15th season racing with Team Penske in the IndyCar series.
