IndyCar at Phoenix: Speeds increase in practice 3

Simon Pagenaud led a Chevy 1-2-3-4-5 in the third practice session at Phoenix Raceway on the 2nd of two days of IndyCar testing on the desert mile.

Pagenaud broke the track record that was set yesterday by Helio Castroneves with a speed of 190.747 mph.

Josef Newgarden was a tick slower at 190.714 mph.

Ed Carpenter, Tony Kanaan and Will Power rounded out the top-5, all above 190 mph.

The fastest Honda was Marco Andretti at 189.578 mph.
