Penske unveils 50th anniversary liveries

Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya and 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series champion Will Power will have sleek, silver Dallara/Chevrolet Indy cars this season as Team Penske unveiled the liveries to commemorate the team’s 50th Anniversary.

Montoya, the 1999 CART champion, 2000 and ’15 Indianapolis 500 winner, former Formula One and former NASCAR Sprint Cup driver from Colombia, will continue to campaign the No. 2.

Power, the 2014 IndyCar champion from Australia, will go back to his familiar No. 12 after competing in the 2015 season with the No. 1 as the then-reigning IndyCar National Champion.

The new liveries will see action this weekend in the season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Montoya is the defending St. Pete winner. Power is the defending Grand Prix of Indianapolis winner.
