The DeltaWing Technology Group Inc. provides transportation design, engineering and manufacturing solutions through DeltaWing Technologies Inc. and DeltaWing Manufacturing Co. LLC. It also builds exclusive luxury sports cars under the Panoz brand, and races the revolutionary DeltaWing coupe under its motorsports division, Panoz DeltaWing Racing.
DeltaWing is developing a road car featuring the DeltaWing® vehicle design that has been race proven in the world’s toughest competitions through the DeltaWing coupe that races in IMSA’s 2016 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. It is about half the weight and has roughly half the aerodynamic drag, half the horsepower, and significantly less fuel consumption, yet delivers the same performance as its competitors.
A street-legal DeltaWing, like the DeltaWing coupe race car, will feature significantly reduced overall mass. Less mass and weight means less horsepower is needed, which reduces fuel/energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. And the design can use electric or hybrid powertrains and small and light high-efficiency gas, diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG) engines.
