Stoops Buick GMC Back with Andretti Autosport Short Track
As Jarett Andretti and the Andretti Autosport Shortrack team prepare for a slate of over 75 sprint car races this year, Stoops Buick GMC announced they will return for the second consecutive season to help support Andretti and the team. Stoops Buick GMC, located in Plainfield, Ind., will be a season-long primary associate sponsor.
Stoops Buick GMC, serving Plainfield, Indianapolis, Greenwood, Mooresville and many other surrounding Indiana communities, is an Andretti tradition. Team owner, John Andretti, and his family have been purchasing vehicles from Stoops for generations. John has trusted Stoops with his personal vehicles and now puts the same trust into the GMC dually truck that tows the Andretti Autosport sprint cars throughout the Midwest.
“When you’re racing as much as we are, you need a vehicle that can tow the cars to the track without worrying about breaking down," said John Andretti. “That’s why I’ve been loyal to Stoops Buick GMC. I’ve never had any problems with my personal vehicles or with our truck for the race team. We go to them for regular maintaince as advised and they are quick and get us back on the road. It’s who we trust."
Jarett is now also a proud customer of Stoops Buick GMC. He drives a Buick LaCrosse from Stoops in Plainfield and has also driven the 2014 GMC Sierra that tows his cars to the track.
“Yeah, I really feel like I have two cars from Stoops," said Jarett. “I have my personal car and then I’m behind the truck, too, either going to the track or getting parts and pieces. The one thing that’s the same is that I never worry about anything. I just get in, go and have never had an issue with a vehicle from Stoops. We get our service done at Stoop’s and they are great. It’s really awesome to have them as a partner of the team and with me personally, too. I have to thank them for their support.
Andretti returns to the track on April 2 when he will race his 410 non-wing sprint car at the Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway, his favorite track. Along with Stoops Buick GMC, Jarett will have support this year from Window World, Schaeffer’s Oil and Specialized Lubricants, MCL Restaurant & Bakery and more.
Jarett, the 2014 USAC National Sprint Car Rookie of The Year, will again race the No. 18 Sprint Car. He has championships in go-karts and the USAC Eastern Ignite Pavement Midget Series. He has also won Rookie of The Year honors at the Oswego Speedway in the supermodified division. He is an honors graduate at North Carolina State University.
