NASCAR Fines & Suspends Adam Stevens

Adam Stevens, crew chief for the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota driven by Kyle Busch has been fined $20,000 and suspended for one race.
The penalty comes after Busch’s winning car was found in violation of several NASCAR rules relating to the use of lug nuts during the May 7 GoBowling.com 400 at Kansas Speedway.
Stevens has also been placed on probation through Dec. 31, while front tire changer John Leslie has also been suspended for this weekend’s event at Dover (Del.) Int’l Speedway and placed on probation though the end of the calendar year. See related rumor.
