Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport Game Adds NASCAR Expansion Pack

Microsoft-owned racing video game series Forza Motorsport today announced a NASCAR expansion pack to its "Forza Motorsport 6" game on the Xbox One console. The pack, which will cost $20 and is available immediately, will see 24 cars and 16 drivers from the '16 NASCAR season available for players to use, as well as the addition of Homestead-Miami Speedway to the game. Other new features are to include a NASCAR world tour career stage, plus NASCAR-esque race rules like rolling starts and a more complex drafting model.

This comes after Microsoft last year signed deals to become official sponsors of both NASCAR and Sprint Cup Series team Hendrick Motorsports, and amid the sanctioning body’s continued push to get the sport in front of a younger demographic. Adam Stern/SBD
