Sunday morning update from Indy
Crews at work before the sun is even up |

The sun has not risen here at Indy yet but most of us media and crews are already onsite to beat the mad rush of 350,000 that is about to transcend on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The gun just went off as I type this and the track is now officially open.
Many of the fans are too drunk to get here at this hour after a night of heavy partying and drinking. The forecast for today is partly cloudy with a 30% chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm around race time. But after that the forecast is fine, so if by chance we do get a rain delay, we should get the race in today.
As you can see from the photo to the right, the lights are already on in the garages and crews are going through their final checklist, making sure nothing is missed and the cars are as best prepared as they can be.
