Rain Postpones New England Nationals To Monday

The John Force Racing Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Cars and the Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster will have to wait one more day to try and win the 4th annual NHRA New England Nationals. Persistent rain showers on Sunday forced NHRA officials to cancel racing activities before they started. Racing is scheduled to begin on Monday at 11 a.m. with Top Fuel eliminations followed by Funny Car and Pro Stock. Defending event winner John Force, Robert Hight and 2013 New England Nationals winner Courtney will be ready to try and win at New England Dragway for the third time in four years. Brittany Force and the Monster Energy Top Fuel team, the No. 3 qualifier, will be looking for her first win in New England and her third win of 2016.

“We had a great turn out today as far as fans. We were able to entertain our hospitality people from PEAK and Monster. The silver lining is we talked with them and took lots of photos. We also got a lot of time with the fans that stayed out here most of the day with us. It just got too cold with all the rain and we couldn’t go out there. We couldn’t give them a real race but we will be out there at 11 a.m. and it will be exciting. My race cars are in the ball game so I am pretty excited," said John Force. John Force Racing PR
