GP2 qualifying rescheduled after curb issue

The qualifying session for GP2's round at the European Grand Prix in Baku has been rescheduled due to concerns regarding the curbs at the new street circuit.

Drivers filtered onto the all-new Baku City Circuit at 15:00 local time for the 30-minute grid-deciding session but the red flags were brought out after just 77 seconds.

It was soon confirmed that the FIA wanted to conduct a track inspection, with Race Director Charlie Whiting checking curb installations, after a spate of cuts in Formula 1 practice.

Due to the time taken in carrying out checks, GP2 qualifying was rescheduled to after Formula 1's second practice session later this afternoon, which finishes at 18:30 local time.

Championship leader Norman Nato set the pace in practice.
