Martin wins U.S. F2000 race 1
Australian Anthony Martin captured the win in this morning's Cooper Tires U.S. F2000 Grand Prix of Road America Powered by Mazda. It was the third victory of 2016 for the driver of the No. 8 Burgess BLA Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing entry, as Martin started from pole, led all 11 laps and edged Pabst Racing's Jordan Lloyd by 0.9107s.
Luke Gabin rounded out the podium in third position, while Victor Franzoni scored a top-5 for Sheboygan, Wisconsin based ArmsUp Motorsports. Martin's teammate Parker Thompson finished fifth.
The U.S. F2000 guys will be back in action at 1:10 p.m. for Race #2.
