Another IndyCar driver struck in head
Alexander Rossi at Road America |
Indianapolis 500 winner Alexander Rossi had a frightening moment in Saturday’s practice when a piece of his car’s front wing broke off and struck him in the head.
Nearly 100% of the fatalities in open wheel racing today are due to head injuries – but the cars still have no canopies.
Rossi wasn’t injured, but he said he definitely felt it.
“It didn’t feel good," he told the Indy Star.
