Dragon confirms Faraday Future partnership, retains drivers for season three

Dragon Racing has confirmed a new technical partnership and title sponsorship deal with Faraday Future.

The electric car company joins Formula E with a four-year technical and sponsorship deal with the Dragon team.

The partnership was announced at a press conference in Battersea Park, ahead of this weekend’s London ePrix.

It will begin from season three and a concept livery was also revealed during the announcement.

Dragon’s partnership with Faraday Future also means the team will become one of nine powertrain manufacturers for the 2016/2017 season.

The major partnership with Dragon includes powertrain development, with homologation already confirmed and initial tests completed.

During the press conference it was also announced that current drivers Jerome d’Ambrosio and Loic Duval will remain at Dragon for season three of Formula E.

It will be their second season as team-mates. Dragon is currently fourth in the teams’ championship with two Formula E races to go of the current campaign.

This season Dragon has scored one race victory and one further top three finish, both courtesy of d’Ambrosio.
