212,000 take in MotoGP
The German MotoGP race "attracted more than 210,000 spectators to Sachsenring over the weekend," according to the SID. The three-day event drew a total of 212,411 fans. It is the race's best figure since '11 when a record-setting 230,133 spectators showed up. This year's number was a slight improvement over '15 (211,588), despite the rainy weather conditions. Sunday's race, which was won by Honda rider Marc Marquez, drew 93,213 spectators. The race was the first German event on the MotoGP schedule since '98
