A new Memorial Day tradition, the inaugural Country 500 music festival drew over 75,000 music-loving fans from across the globe to Daytona International Speedway, the “World Center of Racing," in an unprecedented use of one of the America’s great entertainment destinations.

Quint Davis, CEO of Festival Productions, Inc., which along with AEG Live produced the Country 500 music festival, said, “For tens of thousands of fans to embrace this event so completely in year one is a testament to the tremendous appeal of the talent that performed at this year’s festival and to the only-in-Daytona experience delivered by the one-of-a-kind, world-class facility that is the Daytona International Speedway. Fans can look forward to an even greater event next year as the Country 500 music festival builds on this success and gets ready to rock the track again in 2017."

“We’re thrilled to have Country 500 returning to Daytona International Speedway next year," Track President Chip Wile said. “The inaugural event was a tremendous success and the feedback from guests was fantastic. We look forward to 2017 and hosting another star-studded lineup of performers on Memorial Day Weekend."

The 2016 event featured Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Kid Rock, Willie Nelson and dozens more on two stages and allowed fans to camp inside the infield of the famed speedway for the three-day celebration. Festival-goers were also able to get up close and personal with some of their favorite country stars at artist meet-and-greets in the Daytona garages. Numerous other features also contributed to the sights, sounds and all-around thrills of the first-ever Country 500 music festival.
