NASCAR Fines Paul Wolfe
Paul Wolfe, crew chief for Brad Keselowski’s No. 2 Team Penske Ford, was fined $15,000 and the team was docked 10 driver and 10 owner points Wednesday the result of infractions found following Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan Int’l Speedway.
The team was assessed a P2-level penalty after the car failed post-race laser inspection and also received a written warning because it failed laser inspection twice.
The teams with drivers Regan Smith, Ryan Newman and Michael McDowell also received a written warnings for failing pre-race laser inspection twice.
Josh Wise and McDowell also received written warnings and a loss of 15 minutes of practice because their teams failed pre-qualifying laser inspection three times.
Other written warnings were delivered to the teams of Kasey Kahne, Chase Elliott, Michael Annett, Trevor Bayne, Smith and Kyle Larson for failing pre-qualifying laser inspection.
