Monza: Mercedes juggernaut again run 1-2

The Mercedes juggernaut continued in practice session 2 at Monza for the Italian GP. This time it was Lewis Hamilton on top.

The reigning world champion turned a 1m22.801s on the super-soft tires to finish 0.193 seconds ahead of Rosberg.

Ferrari, running an updated engine in Italy powered Sebastian Vettel to a time just 0.453s off the pace in third.

His teammate Kimi Raikkonen was two tenths further back in fourth, ahead of the Red Bull duo of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.

Fernando Alonso missed the opening part of the session while McLaren replaced a leaking connector.

But he got back out on track to set the seventh fastest time, 1.458s off the pace.
