Suspects in firebombing case |
CCTV footage has been released of a firebomb being thrown into the front driveway of heiress Petra Ecclestone's home.
The Molotov cocktail landed next to a Range Rover and a people carrier when it was hurled over the gate of the property in London's wealthy Chelsea area on April 24.
At the time, the 27-year-old – daughter of Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone – her husband James Stunt and their family were not in the country, and security staff played down the incident, saying the petrol bomb caused no damage and they were "not taking it seriously".
Six months on, police have released the CCTV footage and stills of two suspects that they are trying to trace.
Detective Constable Clare Reynolds said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may recognize those shown in the images released, or anyone who witnessed the incident.
"These men showed a complete disregard for anyone's safety by blindly throwing flammable liquid over a gate – if anyone had been on the other side they could have been seriously injured."
The two suspects are both black men who were wearing dark clothes.
