Pocono Offers Worry-Free Weather Guarantee

LONG POND, Pa. – Pocono Raceway announced Monday it will offer a Worry-Free Weather Guarantee.

This guarantee is free to all Pocono fans that hold a Sunday Grandstand, Club or Suite ticket to either a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race or Verizon IndyCar Series race in 2017 at Pocono Raceway.

The Worry-Free Weather Guarantee ensures fans that purchased Sunday tickets directly from Pocono Raceway in advance will be reimbursed the face value if weather postpones the race and they are unable to make the re-scheduled event. Pit/Paddock Passes will also be eligible for reimbursement when they are purchased with a Sunday grandstand ticket.

“Since 1971, we have hosted 101 NASCAR and IndyCar races and only six of those have been postponed. After a tough year with three rainouts, we listened to our fans and instituted the Worry-Free Weather Guarantee," said Brandon Igdalsky, Pocono Raceway President & CEO. “Now, if one of our Sunday races is impacted by weather and it is postponed, those fans who cannot make it on the re-scheduled day will be reimbursed the face value of their ticket. This demonstrates our level of commitment to the greatest fans in motorsports."

All fans who purchase advance tickets and cannot attend a Sunday race that is postponed on the makeup date will receive a check for the face value listed on their tickets, no questions asked.

The Worry-Free Weather Guarantee protects those who purchase tickets in the grandstands, suites and clubs for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Axalta “We Paint Winners" 400 on June 11, the NASCAR Premier Series Pennsylvania 400 on July 30 and the Verizon IndyCar Series ABC Supply 500 on Aug. 20.
