The "chaotic" Brazilian F1 Grand Prix has drawn the largest viewership figure on German free-to-air TV channel RTL in more than three years, according to the SID.
The race, which saw two red-flag stoppages due to heavy rain, was won by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. The more than three-hour coverage drew an average viewership of 6.83 million viewers.
That is the highest figure since the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix, when 7.45 million viewers tuned in. Sunday's event recorded an average market share of 24.2%. The race also drew a peak audience 7.98 million viewers. SID
