Rubens Barrichello and Jan Lammers to race LMP2 at Le Mans 2017
Rubens Barrichello and Jan Lammers will compete in the 85th running of Le Mans 24 Hours next year, driving a Dallara LMP2 car.
The two former Formula 1 drivers have signed up to race for the newly-formed Racing Team Nederland outfit and will participate in the European Le Mans Series as well the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2017.
Whilst Lammers has Le Mans experience, having won the race back in 1988 with Tom Walkinshaw Racing, it will be Barrichello's first appearance. The Brazilian does however have endurance experience, having contested the Daytona 24 Hours three times, finishing runner-up this year.
Racing Team Nederland have already begun testing with both Barrichello and Lammers, with the pair completing a shakedown last week at the Magny-Cours circuit in France.
