Ed Carpenter Racing Partners With Surfcam, Online Resources

(SPEEDWAY, Ind.) December 9, 2016 – Ed Carpenter Racing announced today a partnership with Surfcam, by Vero Software, and distributor Online Resources. ECR engineers and machinists will work exclusively with Surfcam software to increase efficiency and productivity in ECR’s in-house machine shop.

ECR will be utilizing Surfcam’s 5-axis advanced production capabilities to bridge the gap between solid 3D models produced by engineers and the Hurco Companies’ mills and lathes, with which parts are machined. In addition to generating accurate G-code, Surfcam graphically simulates the toolpath and executes full collision checking in one machining environment.

“I am really excited to start this new venture with Surfcam, Vero Software and Online Resources," stated ECR General Manager Tim Broyles. “We are always looking for ways to become more efficient both on-track and in the race shop, and Surfcam software will help propel us in the right direction."

Online Resources, headquartered in Lebanon, Ind., will partner with ECR through implementation, training and support. The No. 20 Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka Chevrolet, driven by team owner Ed Carpenter, will be on display at Online Resources Booth 5467 during the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show through Saturday, December 10.
