Kings of Chaos Starring Billy Idol, Billy Gibbons & Chester Bennington to Rock Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach

Rock-and-roll royalty will invade the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach this April when SMG Presents the Kings of Chaos Starring Billy Idol, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park for a high-energy performance at the event’s popular Saturday night Rock-N-Roar Concert.

The concert, held on the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center outdoor stage, follows racing activities on Sat., April 8 (approx. 6 p.m.) and is free to race ticket holders. Space at the outdoor stage is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Kings of Chaos, the brainchild of Guns-N-Roses and Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, is an international all-star band with a revolving lineup of top rock-and-roll talent. In addition to Idol, Gibbons and Bennington, the lineup for Long Beach is scheduled to include Sorum on drums, Robert and Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots on bass and guitar, respectively, and Billy Duffy of The Cult on guitar.

"I am really looking forward to playing for racing fans in the town where I was born," said Sorum. "The Grand Prix of Long Beach is the coolest event going."

“This unique Kings of Chaos ‘super group’ concert format featuring so many famous artists will be a huge draw and a fantastic addition to our already impressive Super Saturday lineup," said Jim Michaelian, president and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach.

Featuring a wide variety of on- and off-track activities for the entire family, the Grand Prix’s on-track action on Saturday will be headlined by the BUBBA burger Sports Car Grand Prix, featuring the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as well as the inaugural running of the historic Can-Am Challenge. The rest of the weekend will feature the Verizon IndyCar Series on Sunday, as well as the Motegi Racing Super Drift Challenge under the lights on Friday and Saturday nights; SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks on Saturday and Sunday and the powerful sports cars of the Pirelli World Challenge on Sunday.

Ticket prices for Saturday’s racing events and concert start at $58 for a General Admission ticket, with Saturday-only reserved seating costing $67. Three-day tickets, pre-paid parking packages, handicapped seating, Verizon IndyCar Series Paddock access passes, Super Photo tickets and an array of VIP Club packages are also available.
