Garagesocial.com NJMP Exotic Car Garage Video
Startup Garagesocial.com spotted a wide-open window of opportunity and brilliantly capitalized on it by creating an interactive space, much like Facebook, where car and motorcycle lovers, racing professionals and related businesses create free profiles, upload vehicle photos, descriptions and specs, buy, sell or rent, announce events and, above all, communicate locally and internationally with others who share a common interest.
However, in order to grow this new community, they must engage these unique target audiences. To that end, Garagesocial.com launched a major advertising campaign through a variety of automotive television networks, using "model motorsports enthusiast" videos to drive response. Among the model enthusiasts selected for the videos, was New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) and its private Exotic Car Garage owners. One owner’s video in particular tells the story of how deeply passionate about motorsports these folks truly are.
It makes perfect sense that one of the world’s biggest hobby groups, not to mention the largest industry in America, should have a dedicated social network. There are millions of enthusiasts who belong to car clubs, participate in exhibitions, race or collect cars, motorcycles, trucks, airplanes, ATVs or boats. In the U.S. alone, the automotive industry generates more than half a trillion dollars per annum, plus parts/repairs/services at almost $200 billion. Consequently, the web is inundated by an overwhelming number of fragmented forums, sites and blogs for every make, model or type of vehicle on the planet. Yet, there was no communication between them, and no single platform that united them…Until now.
Garagesocial.com account signups and profiles have reached thousands since its inception. Even NJMP’s Exotic Car Garages has a profile, which was created from a motorsports enthusiast point-of-view: https://www.garagesocial.com/#user/new
"We feel privileged to be part of such an innovative and much-needed social concept," said NJMP Co-Founder Lee Brahin. "Garagesocial’s goal matches our own—To bring like-minded enthusiasts together under one roof—Or social media platform as the case may be."
A vastly diverse array of motoring cultures has now come together in one place to form a global group and, conceivably, the largest consumer vehicle database on the web to date.
