A rising young American star of the Verizon IndyCar Series will be the guest of honor for Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear Day Tuesday when the Detroit Tigers host the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park starting at 1:10 pm.

Conor Daly, driver of the No. 4 ABC Supply Co. Chevrolet for A.J. Foyt Racing, will be honored before the game as he will be featured in a video introduction before he throws out the ceremonial first pitch. Daly will also have the opportunity to meet with a current Tigers player on the field before the game and swap jerseys for a unique photo opportunity prior to the first pitch. Daly will participate in a Detroit media tour Tuesday morning to promote the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear, June 2-4 on Belle Isle Park.

Fans in attendance for the game will also have a chance to take a photo with the Grand Prix Indy Car, located on Columbia Plaza in front of Comerica Park.

“We are excited to welcome one of the best young drivers in the Verizon IndyCar Series to Detroit to help promote the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear and we want to thank the Detroit Tigers for continuing to support our event," said Bud Denker, Chairman of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear. “Conor is a great ambassador to the Verizon IndyCar Series and we hope that Grand Prix Day at Comerica Park gives fans a taste of what they can expect on Belle Isle, June 2-4."

Now in his fourth season competing in the Verizon IndyCar Series, the 25-year-old Daly has earned three of his top career finishes on Belle Isle, including his top result of second place in the first of two Chevy Dual in Detroit races on Belle Isle last season.
