Bahrain GP USA TV Rating

The Bahrain GP Formula 1 race at 10:30 AM Sunday morning on CNBC (sister channel to NBCSN) notched a final TV rating of 0.25 with 413,000 people watching, down from a 0.40/578,000 last year when the race aired on NBCSN. In the all important 18-49 year old category only 143,000 were tuned in. The replay on NBCSN later in the day had an additional 231,000 viewers.

Like NBCSN, TV ratings on CNBC are horrendously low. As with IndyCar, the broadcasts are great, the racing is great, but hardly anyone watches these NBC owned cable channels. The only thing that should be broadcast on these cable channels is practice and qualifying. The races must always be on network TV.
