Midland also eyes Cosworth

Midland F1 boss Alex Shnaider has not ruled out a bid for engine supplier Cosworth. Shnaider announced on Friday that his Russian-backed Midland Group would be entering a team in the 2006 world championship. He has struck a deal with Dallara to build chassis but has yet to find an engine supplier. Asked by ITV F1 commentator James Allen whether he was considering buying Cosworth, who have been put up for sale by Ford, Shnaider said: “Yes, we are looking at it."
