Audi and Chevy to make ALMS announcements

We have it on good word that both Audi and Corvette will be making announcements that pertain to the ALMS at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show (Sun/Mon). We are told that Audi is going to announce its race teams for the upcoming season, while Corvette is unveiling its C6-R which will go racing in ALMS this year. Ron Fellows will be in attendance at the press conference. The Corvette release (of which we have an advance copy) notes that this is "the best sports car we have ever built." We think it's interesting that Corvette thinks/realizes that in order to run in the ALMS is takes the best sports car they've ever built. A little different scenario than other race series in the USA.
