Champ Car or F1 could race at new Rio track

The consortium that is behind the plan to tear down half of Rio de Janeiro’s Jacarepaguá circuit has confirmed it will build a new, three-mile track designed by Hermann Tilke’s company. The marketing director of Rio Sports Plaza consortium claimed on Brazilian TV last week that he will meet the presidents of the country’s car and motorsport confederations. Autosport Magazine
