FOX Sports releases 2017 LeMans broadcast schedule

FOX Sports has released its coverage plans for next weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Bob Varsha and Brian Till set to host the twice-around-the-clock, multi-platform coverage, which begins Sat., June 17 (8:30 a.m. ET) on FS1 and FOX Sports GO.

With dozens of stories to cover throughout the exhausting race, Varsha believes one story may just rise above the rest.

“This year, no story is bigger than Toyota’s comeback from the most heartbreaking finish I can recall," Varsha said. “After years of trying and massive effort on every front, they were leading comfortably last year when a mundane part failure caused the No. 5 car to roll to a stop at the start of the very last lap.

“Kaz Nakajima valiantly limped the car around to the flag, but he couldn’t go fast enough and was tossed from the classified finishers.

“The winners from Porsche walked into the stunned and emotional Toyota garage to commiserate, a scene I’ll never forget. Will this finally be Toyota’s year?"
