Kiesa eyes Minardi and LMES

Rumors in Europe are that Minardi driver Patrick Friesacher has not paid his bill and Nicolas Kiesa will step in to do testing and possibly replace him in the not too distant future. From Kiesa's website – With the Formula One 2005 season three races old, Nicolas is getting himself ready for great opportunities. "It's been tough work behind the scenes working on a set of opportunities both in and outside Formula One. Even though no news has been released on my official website, don't even think that nothing has happened. Together with my management team I've been working twenty-four-seven to secure a sound future for the rest of the season.

"Due to my very positive relationship with the Minardi Formula One team, we are trying to build on that and figure out a common future together. I am ready to take part in their testing work whenever they need an extra set of hands. This Friday the Minardi Formula One team are getting ready for the first test of the Minardi PS05 on the Mugello circuit, and I will be traveling down there just in case they need me. After that I will be going to the Spa Circuit, looking at different opportunities in the European Le Mans Series in 2005. I have at least one standing proposal to drive the season there. I am focusing a bit on other series besides Formula One these days, to make sure that I am sharp and race fit, and there is no doubt that the European Le Mans Series is the best alternative at the moment."
