GP2 team eyes F1

According to this week's Autosport Magazine, Ex-Ferrari designer Enrique Scalabroni wants to take his BCN Competición outfit into Formula 1 by 2008. Speaking at the GP2 official launch at Paul Ricard last week, Scalabroni said that moving his Spanish-based team into F1 was a logical progression. “Of course Formula 1 is the next step for this team," he said. “I believe it could be possible for us to be on the grid in 2008. I’m not yet sure if we would set up the team from the bottom, but for sure it would be easier for us to become involved in an existing team."
