Overheard in Indy

According to this SPEED TV article, Eddie Cheever and Chip Ganassi are convinced that General Motors is NOT going to leave the IRL at the end of this year as previously announced…..There was a recent meeting in Indianapolis between Mario Andretti, Kevin Kalkhoven, Paul Gentilozzi, Brian Barnhart and Tony George but nothing to report yet. Mario is trying to put open wheel racing under one roof with a common engine/chassis formula for 2007.
