BMW looking at Minardi

Our F1 moles in Indy tell us that BMW will supply engines to Sauber next year but are right now looking very seriously at buying Minardi. Minardi would 1) cost a lot less to buy than Sauber; 2) part of the Sauber engine deal would include use of the Austrian team's wind tunnel to develop the Minardi BMW; 3) Despite the lack of solid results, Minardi is a very well-run team with a hard-working, passionate staff that absolutely love their team and their jobs; 4) Minardi do more with less than probably any team in the history of F1. With a little more money and support from BMW this team could go far. On the down side, BMW could screw it up royally if they 1) Try to make it a "German team" – let Stoddart and the Italians continue to run it with technical support from the Germans!
